Donald Trump’s tariff war is a losing battle already

If Donald Trump implements these absurd tariffs he won’t stop talking about , his approval ratings will be in a lot of trouble. Since Trump knows virtually nothing about how to run ANY Government, much less the government of the United States of America, he has no idea of the serious ramifications of such tariffs. But we do.

This writer has created a list. It’s a list of what products might become significantly more expensive if Trump’s tariffs go into effect. . Of course, it doesn’t cover everything. But let’s take a deep dive into what will be affected by such tariffs.

Car prices. That would be one of the first things to skyrocket in costs since many of these cars come in Mexico. Economists say, “The minute those tariffs are put into place, you would probably see car dealers raise their prices.”

Clothing. The National Retail Federation pointed to over 500 types of apparel whose prices could rise. Gas prices would rise almost immediately, economists say:

Consumer goods such as refrigerators and washers and dryers.

Laptops.

Video Game consoles.

Smartphones

Beer

Fruit and vegetables

Home furnishings.

I am not simply simply pulling rabbits out of hats here. Experienced economists have cited all of the above-mentioned goods and services as items that could spike in price.

You know, it’s ironic. Trump railed against the Biden administration for the cost of goods and services. If he implements these tariffs, prices as they are now, will look like a picnic next to what could be coming down the pike.

In other words, Trump’s tariffs are a giant boulder waiting to smash Trump’s approval numbers to bits. If he goes through with the tariffs, that is exactly what will happen.
