Pam Bondi is insane
Pam Bondi. Trump’s nominee for Attorney General is a Floridan. And an election denier. This writer is disturbed by what she sees. Some people are breathing sighs of relief after the Gaetz nomination imploded. Well, she won’t be as bad, they say with relieved sighs.
I say: Nuts to that. Pam Bondi is dangerous. Her nomination is every bit as bad as many others, and it should be treated with grave seriousness because underneath that smile lurks a seasoned election denier who has shown in the past that she is all too happy to carry Donald Trump’s water.
Bondi may be more soft-spoken than the odious Gaetz, but her intent is the same. She is a slavish Trump devotee, and her views are indistinguishable from his. There are countless videos of her sagely agreeing that the 2020 election was stolen and making threats against career prosecutors.
I hope that her confirmation is given the same significance as that of people like Tulsi and Hegsworth.
Pam Bondi is a snake in the grass, and that snake has done a great deal of venomous hissing in the past. She’s used her words as poison, seeking to divide this country, and she must be made to answer for every statement she made, every action she took, and every false Trumpism that she uttered. The Attorney General is one of this country’s most essential jobs. The Senate must act like it.
