Youth vote is exploding
Meeting houses—how soothing they can be! They are places where like-minded friends meet up. They are a part of both history and the present. The Old Quaker Meeting House is reportedly the country’s second oldest Quaker meeting house. George Washington was a welcomed visitor.
All sorts of meeting houses existed and still exist. This article is about one of them. 10/24/2024. The skies are happy today. The streets hum. The towns are pouring forth voters. It’s a march. It is a march to the polls.
“I voted.” Yes, there are reportedly so many YOUNG voters turning out that certain polling locations have run out of I-voted stickers! They walk. Sometimes, they sprint. On Twitter, pictures of marching and very determined-looking students from the University of Wisconsin in Madison show tons of voters heading to the polls with Rapper Yung Gravy.
The level of enthusiasm appears off the charts.
“What the….”
“Look what’s going on in North Carolina!!!”
Many on social media marveled at the photos — at the pictures showing mountains — mountains of VOTERS — heading to the polls.
“Apparently, so many college students in North Carolina have flocked to the polls that they ran out of “I voted” stickers.”
The youth vote is turning out. Isn’t it exciting, dear readers? Can’t you FEEL the adrenaline? Meeting houses will always exist. The Palmer Report is a virtual meeting house where people gather to smile, converse, and watch- to watch the youth of our present, sparkly, and motivated youth hightail it to the polls.
These youth of today — this new generation of voters are quickly and not so quietly turning our voting polls into the best damn meeting houses of 2024.
