Kamala Harris fears nothing

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We knew Fox likely had something up its sleeves when they invited Vice President Kamala Harris to interview. She, of course, saw it as an opportunity to appeal to voters who don’t know her and what her campaign is about. Bret Baier said he would be fair, but instead, he went into attack mode. Of course, people will see things the want they want, but according to Newsweek, Harris was “in her element” and won over some swing voters. Newsweek also called Baier “testy.” According to Newsweek, Baier asked about immigration, transgender healthcare, and whether Donald Trump represents a threat to American democracy. That last question must have been rhetorical; everyone knows Trump is a danger to American democracy.

Online monitoring and analysis company Impact Social watched and noted reactions. In the end, they reported that the event “reflected an uptick that will likely have a positive influence on swing voter perception.” In fact, they recorded some of the more positive comments about Harris, and one person wrote: “Kamala Harris is very, very good at this. Why is everyone surprised that @VP @KamalaHarris kicked Bret Baier’s butt? She is a seasoned prosecutor. She is in her element when debating or presenting her argument.” Impact Social also reported that: “In general, swing voters are agreed that this was a combative, tetchy and unpleasant interview. Whether they blame Fox’s Baier or Harris is largely determined by voter intent.” Harris knew she was going into combative territory, yet she didn’t shy away from it as Trump has been recently doing. Baier tried constantly to talk over her and riddle her with questions without giving her a chance to respond, and in the process, he helped her created a viral moment when she said: “May I please finish?”

Vice President Kamala Harris can obviously hold her own with anyone. She wiped the floor up with Trump during their live debate. That’s why he didn’t want another one, even when Fox offered to host. Apparently unhappy with the way things turned out, Trump called Baier “very soft.” Funny, that’s not what other networks are saying. He was hostile and unprofessional in conducting the interview, but we’re talking about Fox.

CNN Host and former Harris aide, Symone Sanders, believed that Baier handled the interview poorly. Her take on the interview was: “On the tone, I have sat in the room for a number of interviews with VP Harris and they have been tough. I’ve never witnessed what I witnessed tonight though. The interviewer wasn’t themselves [sic]—instead he was rude, misleading and pulled questions straight out of the proverbial Trump/Vance press release.” Sanders went on to say: “The best part is, VP’s response was simply to match his energy, stick to her why of the interview and not take the bait. This is what a President would do.”

There is so much about Harris that is presidential, and it is frankly puzzling why anyone still supports Donald Trump, the most unpresidential candidate in modern history. Kamala Harris is what this country needs, and we will ensure we get her in the White House where she belongs.
