You know, my friends, I have a theory. This theory is, of course, about politics. My theory is that republican politicians before they start their jobs, take part in a secret initiation.

Secret initiation leader: “Now, as ( senator, congressperson, etc), you must promise to leave your brain at the door above all else. You will NOT give intelligent answers to questions. Indeed, you will not answer questions at ALL except to say the stupidest thing you can think of. You will be sullen, argumentative, conspiratorial, and in general, an asshole to everyone and anyone who demands accountability. Is that clear?”

MAGA Republican — “Yes, I promise.”

In all seriousness — such a theory WOULD goes a long way toward explaining why Republicans seem to like nothing better than humiliating themselves — again and again.

On Tuesday, Texas Senator Ted Cruz was up to pitch. And he pitched his own humiliation with elegance. The man was doing a debate against Democratic challenger Colin Allred, and well, let’s just say things didn’t go well for terrible Ted. He lost in a landslide.

Oh no. Ted’s done it again. My friends, even Republicans, are reportedly pissed off at the Cancun superfan. Take a look at what Cruz said and did regarding abortion. This goes back to my original scenario, as seen above: Ted Cruz turned on the stupid as never before. Truly.

Over and over, Cruz was asked about his views on abortions and exceptions. Over and over, Cruz refused to answer. It was like a broken record—it WAS a broken record, and that record was Cruz, who kept skipping on answering the question.

This is an issue on which we, the Democrats are far ahead. You’d think Cruz would have an answer ready, but he did not. See what I mean about the stupid initiation? Now it gets better because Cruz appeared to feel pushed beyond his breaking point. That might be why he tried to start an argument with the moderator.

After being asked for the UMPTEENTH time about abortion and his beliefs and feelings on abortion , Ted Cruz, will millions of Texans watching him, turned to the moderator, clearly peeved and snapped:

“WHY DO YOU KEEP ASKING ME THAT?” Could it have been any worse for terrible Ted? The answer to that question is no; it could not have. Texans, are you listening? It’s time to vote this nitwit out. You have the numbers to do it, so let’s go. Donate to Colin Allred and the 2024 Senate majority here.
