A new hope

Vogue magazine is honoring Kamala Harris by featuring her on its October cover — the last cover of Vogue before the election. “Candidate for our times.” Yes, there is no doubt who Vogue wants to win! Actually, they endorsed Harris this past July.

How long before Felon calls for Vogue to be shut down? In this momentous article, Vogue notes that “rarely are individuals summoned for acts of national rescue.” It is quite a feather in Harris’ cap. Harris was interviewed for the cover story and photographed by Annie Leibovitz.

In this article. Harris talks about many things, the Dobbs decision being one of them. She says one of her goals is to “restore the freedoms that have been taken away.” Doesn’t it seem that virtually every day now, Harris is endorsed by someone new or a new story comes out filled with glowing commentary ? It’s a great thing to see, it really is, and it is also a testament to Harris’s strength as a political candidate.

Harris did not just talk about Dobbs and women’s reproductive freedoms. Many other issues were spoken about, including foreign policy and the economy. It’s a beautiful piece that everyone should read.

One other thing of note: remember how cocky Donald Trump once was? He thought he had it in the bag. Now — this. The Harris candidacy, a dazzling rainbow spread 24 hours a day across the sky, has awoken something in the American people, some seed of yearning, a feeling of buoyancy that has enchanted the whole country.

This thing is hope — hope that we can finally leave Donald Trump and all his messiness behind and that vibrant new leadership can lead the way into the future.
