Out of Trump’s grasp

Women. Women. America’s women are ever-flowing like the brightest, freshest streams. Donald Trump can’t communicate with these women. He’s tried. He’s also failed — every time. But many a Republican wants to change that. That might be why Republicans have a new message for Donald Trump as it relates to women — try harder.

GOP strategists are excitedly chirping that Trump MUST turn things around with women. He must connect with them. He must find a core connection and get women into his corner somehow, in some way. They’re asking him to pivot. They want the felon to assert what a great leader he is and brush aside all the criticism that has come his way regarding women.

One GOP strategist says Trump needs to say something like this: “You’re not voting for your pastor. You’re not voting for you spouse. This isn’t about liking me.” There is a problem with that strategy. It can’t work. In fact, if we’re being REALLY honest, that strategy: It SUCKS!!! It is a horrible, no good, very bad strategy.

Trump cannot pivot. How many times must the GOP set themselves up for disappointment? What will it take for them to learn Trump is incorrigible. He CANNOT be anything else other than who he is -a woman-hating sexual assaulter who hates women and sees them as the enemy. Trump chasing after women’s votes would be like trying to capture — and hold — water. It cannot be. It just can’t.

Republicans want Trump’s message “laser focused on moms.” But moms hate him. Mothers believe in IVF and women’s reproductive freedom. They know a liar when they see one. They want the best for their daughters, these lovely girls they raise who, like their moms, are free-spirited and ever-flowing, always.

Trump has recently been stepping into his efforts to repel and disgust women by ORDERING them to vote for him, by LECTURING them on how miserable they would be without him. That’s not pivoting, that’s plain old misogyny — and women know it. That is why they will forever be out of his grasp.
