The four horsemen of the 2024 Senate majority
I’ve promised you all along that if the Senate races in Florida or Texas ever came into play, Palmer Report would lead the charge in trying to win them. Earlier this month Brian Schatz, the politically savvy Senator from Hawaii, stated his view that the Senate seat in Florida was indeed winnable. Accordingly, we began fundraising for the Florida seat, alongside our existing fundraising for the Ohio and Montana seats.
Now the DSCC itself has announced massive ad buys aimed at the Senate races in Florida and Texas. That’s enough for me, so now we’re adding the Senate seat in Texas to our fundraising efforts. This gives us four targeted Senate races. If we win any two of these four Senate races (along with all the “Lean Democrat” and “Likely Democrat” races that we’re favored in), it’ll give President Kamala Harris a fifty seat de facto Senate majority. If we win any three of these four races, it’ll give President Harris a true 51 seat Senate majority.
We’re making this easy for you. We now have an ActBlue page where you can make one donation and it’ll be split evenly among the four Senate races in Florida, Texas, Montana, and Ohio. 100% of your donation (minus any credit card processing fees) goes directly to the four Democratic candidates. If you donate now, the candidates will have the money within a few days, and they can immediately do whatever they need to do with it.
Not all of you are in a position to donate, but there are other important ways you can help with these Senate races. You can call your friends and relatives in Florida, Texas, Montana, and Ohio and remind them to register right now, and then remind them again later to vote. You can send postcards to voters. If you’re in or near any of these four states, you can go knock on doors with the campaign. If you’re not in any of these states, you can sign up to phone bank from your living room. The campaigns will give you a list of Democratic-leaning voters to call, and even give you the script.
