Crazy is as crazy does
There are so many reasons not to vote for Donald Trump that it’s hard to enumerate them. First, he’s crazy. As he continues to claim he won the debate against Vice President Kamala Harris, he has added to his story that the crowd at the debate “went crazy.” The only craziness in that room came from Trump. There was no audience at the debate at all, unless he brought some of his imaginary friends to join him. He also whined about the moderators “correcting” him when they never corrected Harris. That’s what happens when you lie. They didn’t “correct” him, they fact checked him because of his penchant for lying. Of course, all Republicans thought the fact checking was unfair. Earlier that same day, Salon reported that Trump was in New York campaigning. Why? Trump has about a snowball’s chance in hell in winning New York.
The second most important reason not to vote for Donald Trump is the fact that he does not wish us and this country well. He recently demanded that his Republican colleagues let the government shut down. Shutdowns do no one any good, but perhaps that is what Mike Johnson tried to do by sending a bill to vote that had been turned down before. How Trump thinks a shutdown will help him is a mystery, just like JD Vance’s lie about Springfield, OH didn’t help them. It only makes them look ridiculous. Now that the feds are making a rate cut, Trump doesn’t want that either. In his mind, a rate signals a bad economy, which shows just how little he knows. A rate cut is a sign of a robust economy. Rate cuts help the very people they claim to represent, but Republicans are more afraid that it will help Vice President Harris. In fact, Newsweek reported that the MAGA group is calling the intended rate cut “election interference.”
Republicans are calling the rate cut “suspect” because it’s getting close to the election. As Joe Biden once said to Trump during a debate, oh come on, man. Jerome Powell was appointed by Donald Trump, not Democrats. Why would he do anything to help Democrats? They are suspicious because they are all “suspect” themselves. Why do they want to be in elected office if not to help people and the country? It should be clear by now to everyone that Republicans don’t care about middle class. Rate cuts allow us to buy homes, other large ticket items, and reduce credit card interest, but they could care less if we all lived on the streets. If they are in power, that’s all that matters. This is exactly why voters need to elect Kamala Harris to the presidency.
Unlike Republicans, Harris’s empathy is real. She cares. She’s been seen hugging a woman who was crying, and she’s heading to Georgia to talk about the abortion laws in the state that resulted in the deaths of two women. It seems she is the only one who cares, and that’s who we need in office, not a bunch of fakers who care only about themselves.
