Donald Trump abruptly cancels campaign event
Donald Trump barely shows his face in swing states these days, and when he does, he tends to thoroughly embarrass himself with senile gibberish. Trump has finally scheduled an event in Pennsylvania, aimed at winning over Polish voters in Bucks County. But now, for unstated reasons, the Trump campaign is cancelling the event at the last minute. So what’s going on?
It could be a number of things. There is, for instance, an exploding scandal today that’s on the verge of taking down North Carolina Republican Governor candidate Mark Robinson. But what would that have to do with a Trump event in Pennsylvania? It’s possible Trump is going into hiding completely as the Robinson scandal plays out. But it could easy be something else.
The reality is that Donald Trump is in terrible, terrible shape. He looks like someone who’s in too poor of physical health to even be on the campaign trail. And when he does periodically surface, he comes off cognitively as someone who shouldn’t be allowed in public without a chaperone. So it’s possible that Trump’s worsening frailness is simply making campaigning impossible for him.
