Donald Trump is still using nuisance filings to try to stall his criminal trials. The trouble for him? They’re not working anymore – as tends to be the case once things progress past a certain point. Trump got bad news today when Judge Tanya Chutkan made clear during a hearing that she couldn’t care less about Trump’s election schedule, and that she’s moving forward with his Washington DC criminal trial unabated. Now Trump is set for even more bad legal news tomorrow.

Judge Juan Merchan announced this evening that he’ll be ruling tomorrow on Trump’s request to delay his sentencing hearing in his New York criminal trial. Given that this was yet another nuisance filing on Trump’s part, and that Merchan doesn’t mess around, Trump can expect to lose tomorrow’s ruling. In such case his sentencing hearing will take place on September 18th as expected.

In other words Trump keeps getting dragged further into the muck when it comes to his worsening troubles with the criminal justice system. He seemed to think he was off the hook. But the reality is just the opposite.
