Donald Trump’s Arlington cemetery scandal just got even uglier for him
It was scandalous enough for Donald Trump that he posed for a campaign photo op at Arlington National Cemetery, a sacred place where that’s not supposed to happen. It was even worse for Trump that he posed while smiling and giving a thumbs up – suggesting that he’s now too senile to even understand what a cemetery is. But now it’s gotten uglier for him.
Reports leaked out that Arlington personnel attempted to stop the Trump photo op from happening, and that it turned into a physical altercation. Now it turns out the Trump campaign actually look video at Arlington, which is even more egregious. Trump and his people keep offering explanations, excuses, and denials about what happened, but all it’s doing is keeping the ugly story in the headlines.
We’re still not sure why it isn’t a bigger story that Trump is so far gone cognitively, he mistakenly gave a thumbs up at a gravesite. Did he think he was at lunch? In any case, now that this has escalated to the point of a physical confrontation, this scandal isn’t going away.
