The tables have turned

So far this week we’ve managed to raise more than $68,000 through ActBlue for the Democratic candidates in the most competitive House races, and thousands more for Democratic candidates in the most competitive state legislature races.

But today we’re fundraising for Palmer Report. We have operating expenses, the online advertising industry is collapsing, and we have to become a reader supported site.

What kind of operating expenses does a site like Palmer Report have? We have a four-figure monthly web hosting bill. We pay for things like push notification services. We pay our team members, including our researchers. It adds up to several thousand dollars a month. And frankly, the online advertising industry is collapsing.
