I said a few weeks ago that this election was turning into the Kamala Harris show, with Donald Trump resorting to setting himself on fire to try to draw any attention at all. Now the Democratic National Convention has ended up being the ultimate Kamala Harris show, and suffice it to say that Trump is going to be exasperated by it.
According to Nielsen, Kamala Harris’ convention acceptance speech drew 29 million viewers, which was about 25% higher than what Donald Trump drew for his convention acceptance speech. In other words, it’s not just you and I you think that Trump is tired and boring, the nation at large thinks it as well. In contrast, Americans wanted to tune in and hear what Kamala had to say.
It’s also notable that Kamala Harris’ speech significantly outdrew the various other speeches at the Democratic National Convention. So even as stars big as the Obamas and Oprah are, Kamala managed to outdraw them as well. Trump is going to be throwing ketchup over this.
