Donald Trump has always been a malignant narcissist psychopath. But these days he’s also displaying symptoms consistent with worsening dementia. What do those two conditions look like combined? Well, we’re pretty much seeing it in Trump’s rally speeches.

Trump rambles incoherently like most senile people do, but because he’s also deranged, he rambles incoherently about getting eaten by sharks and serial killers. Trump is finally starting to get called out for his cognitive decline by the media, and that’s prompting Trump to get defensive about it.

For instance, one of Trump’s recent rambles went like this: “They’ll say, ‘He was rambling.’ I don’t ramble. I’m a really smart guy, you know, really smart. I don’t ramble.” So now he’s rambling about how he’s not rambling.

It can be very difficult for people with dementia to understand and remember that they have it. In their more lucid moments they don’t remember all the instances where they couldn’t remember anything, and so they think they’re fine. Then they wonder why others are saying there’s a cognitive problem. So it’s no surprise to see Trump getting defensive about the topic. It’ll only get worse for him.
