Donald Trump’s crowd size problem just got even uglier for him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It was a lovely day in Michigan. In Byron Center, a group of people milled around, waiting to hear from someone. This was a very SMALL group of people. You see, JD Vance arrived on time to give a speech to thousands of people!

It was JD’s time to shine before luminous crowds, his time to lie, slander, and show fake grievance in the way only a Hillbilly con artist could. There was just one problem. There was hardly anyone there.

A lonely steamboat pulling away, bleating its lamentable tune — with nobody aboard. A solitary train rumbling down the tracks with no passengers inside. Rows and rows of cornfields with no signs of humans in the fields. A lone event in the Wolverine state with one weird dude and — chairs. Empty chairs. Rows and rows of empty chairs with no asses in them.

The ass itself was addressing the people. How many were there in this stark place? Well, we do have an idea. That’s because of footage — live footage showing… Empty folding chairs.

Reporter Chris O’Brien had the following to say: “If I’m being generous, that looks like 10 rows of 10 seats across on each side. So, about a total of 200 people potentially?” That includes reporters.

As the day went on, the pictures began to circulate on Twitter, leaving many mocking the VP nominee for being unable to conjure up a crowd. These words come from Amy Siskind which sums it all up: “The crowd for JD Vance in Michigan. Other than the press, there’s like 10 people there, womp, womp.” Poor Vance! Nobody wants to hear him speak. Well – can you blame them?
