Donald Trump is angry

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Rumor has it that Trump is mad-really mad. Both Axios and the New York Times reported on Trump’s behavior in private, including repeatedly referring to Kamala Harris a “bitch.” Trump has always been his worst enemy, but he’s doing even more self-harm this time around. Riling up Republicans in Georgia wasn’t enough for him. He had an aide text Miriam Adelson, a billionaire and one of his wealthiest supporters who funds PAC Preserve America, to tell her that the group in charge were “RINOs.” Apparently, the polls have him in a freefall of anger. A columnist for the Charlotte Observer, Matt Wiley, wrote that Trump “can’t seem to stop himself from following his worst instincts.” That’s Trump for you. As Wiley wrote, “Trump seems to be self-destructing.” He probably is, and it doesn’t help that the media seems singularly focused on the polls.

According to Newsweek, Harris is leading in battleground states Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. She has also tied with Trump in North Carolina and Nevada. Newsweek also reported that the Trump campaign said that the Times/Siena College polls have “dramatically understated” Trump’s support. This is all great news, but we all must keep working. It is still early in Harris’s campaign, and anything can happen between now and November. If, however, Harris clinches Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, she is all but guaranteed to take the White House. Trump can either suck it up and continue to try to win, or he can go down with the ship, which he seemed to imply with the song played at a recent rally from the Titanic. Harris just needs to keep being her genuine self, and she will keep the voters she has gained.

The Atlantic reported that Harris has gained seven points in Pennsylvania, five in Wisconsin, and four in Michigan. The voters who wanted neither Biden nor Trump are supporting Harris, and 93% of Democrats now support Harris as well. Not only has she brought joy and excitement to the political arena, but her youth in addition to the other factors have Trump looking like the tired old man he is. He can’t come up with anything to oppose Harris and has resorted to his lies and tall tales, like his claim that AI was used to make the crowd in Detroit look bigger. Trump should quit whining, get off his butt, and get to work. Otherwise, he’s going to be watching the Harris and Walz inauguration.

It is amazing how quickly all this has transpired, and while pundits don’t believe the excitement will last, it shows no signs of slowing down. When polled about their satisfaction with the candidates, Democratic satisfaction jumped +27 while independent voters jumped by +15. Amazingly, the Independent reported that 42% of white voters without a college education now say they will vote for Harris. While Trump still leads with that group, this is a significant blow to Republicans. Factor in that everyone seems to be in love with Tim Walz-especially young liberal voters-the Independent reported, and you have a winning ticket.
