This is just getting weird
Even as the momentum, the fundraising, and the polls continue to trend in Kamala Harris’ direction, Donald Trump’s campaign says he’ll be off the campaign trail all week except for a rally in Montana. That alone is weird beyond words. But it’s just the start of it.
Trump has begun referring to Kamala Harris as “Kamabla” in his social media posts, a derisive nickname so uninspired that it might actually just be an unintentional misspelling. He’s been running against Harris for weeks now, and the best nickname he can up with for her is something so subtle and ineffective that it reads like a typo? Weird.
This all comes even as Judge Chuktan has restarted proceedings in Trump’s upcoming Washington DC criminal trial, and as the Supreme Court has given Judge Merchan the all clear to go ahead with Trump’s sentencing hearing next month. If anything, as the legal and psychological pressure mounts, Trump’s behavior is going to get even stranger.
