Donald Trump campaign implodes as Project 2025 falls apart
Donald Trump has been taking serious heat of late for his campaign’s various connections to the extremist Project 2025 manifesto. Trump keeps insisting that he has nothing to do with the project, but the media heat has nonetheless remained. Now the whole thing is going south today – very south.
The leader of Project 2025 has stepped down, and now the Trump campaign has put out a press release welcoming the “demise” of the project. The press release also seems to threaten anyone who suggests that the Trump campaign and the project are connected, saying “It will not end well for you.”
Well okay then. This is starting to feel like a full scale implosion. Trump and his campaign are now desperate to distance themselves from Project 2025, even as they try to give the appearance that Project 2025 no longer exists.
What’s remarkable is just how many things are going wrong for Donald Trump and his campaign right now. Kamala Harris keeps pulling ahead in poll after poll. JD Vance has quickly turned into a severe drag on the Trump ticket. And now Trump is doing everything possible to try to make the Project 2025 controversy go away. What a week – and it’s still only Tuesday.
