The energizer bunny of politics
My friends, the ENERGY all around us — and especially around Kamala Harris — is off the CHARTS. I’ve not seen anything like it in a long time. The waves of joy, the euphoria—it’s all quite heady. I think I like (love) it. In just one week, Harris has become the energizer bunny — I’m not kidding.
She is barnstorming the United States, making stops here, there, and everywhere. Her unwavering and relentless energy is infectious, as is her warm laugh, as millions get swept away in the unbeatable wave of vitality that’s arrived.
Allow me to give you some examples of what exactly is going on. Hundreds of thousands have signed up to volunteer. Florida, especially, is seeing waves of volunteers. Phone calls are being held. Black women for Kamala. White women for Kamala. Black MEN for Kamala. WHITE Men for Kamala.
She is running away with the youth vote. She has now tied Trump in Georgia. She’s way ahead in New Hampshire. My friends, it has become a MOVEMENT. Movements, when they start, are virtually unstoppable. MILLIONS are excited, including this writer. We are excited about Harris’s exceptional energy levels and beautiful laugh.
So many of you commented when I wrote about her laugh being utterly beautiful , joyous and tinkling wind-chimes on a sunny and breezy day. Many of you noted that her laugh likely makes republicans afraid, that laughter means independence and freedom, and that strikes terror in the GOP because they do not WANT women to be independent and free.
And so you are right. The need by woman-haters to control women also includes stifling their magnificent trills of laughter — because laughter, more than almost anything else, indicates that we don’t give a DAMN about the GOP.
So as Harris continues her unstoppable campaign, we must work like we’ve NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS worked before. Because not only can Kamala win, not only WILL she win, but we can also make a clean sweep of the House, the Senate, and the Presidency. That is something to laugh about.
