Despite the Paris Olympics kicking off this week, for many of us “pass the torch” is cringe. So, let’s scrap it. This is not a foot race. The Harris campaign has gone from zero to 100 in no time flat. Trump gave something away using a NASCAR analogy in his latest unhinged rant. Threatening to fire all the military generals and replacing them with racecar drivers shows even his wrecked brain realizes there is no way for the GOP to catch the Harris momentum.
Trump and the Republican party are in our rearview mirror. They will try to throw nails on the roadway, but we have puncture-proof tires. The Right has controlled the narrative since Reagan, weaponizing hateful terms like Welfare Queen and Bleeding-Heart Liberals. But VP Harris has taken the wheel and is focused on the road ahead. In her first speech, she fearlessly went after assault weapons and book bans.
Of course, the coordinated attacks on French highspeed railway just before the opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics remind us that we must remain on high alert for sabotage and distractions. And the media are spinning their wheels trying to fuel the right-wing lies about Harris. But our message is gaining traction and we’re staying ahead of the false narratives.
Take the fake “Border Czar” position that the Right is now trying to run with. We’re steering the message back to what really happened, Harris successfully set up diplomatic channels to solve the root problems at the border. Despite Trump intentionally running bipartisan immigration legislation off the road, the White House has gotten border crossings below the level of the final month of the Trump Administration. Plus, just announced, Mexico’s biggest drug kingpin was arrested and is US custody!
Democrats have shifted into high gear, zooming past the Trump/Vance campaign leaving them sputtering in the dust. Speaking of zooming, the Harris campaign broke Zoom!
