Donald Trump’s JFK files distraction fails as his Russia scandal explodes
Yesterday, Donald Trump insisted that he would be releasing the long-secret JFK files today. This was a clear attempt on his part at some kind of distraction, as his Russia scandal grows worse for him by the hour, and the most damning bombshells begin to pour in. But after not releasing anything today, the Trump administration is now quietly admitting that this was nothing more than a bait and switch.
Trump could not have been any more clear yesterday when he tweeted “The long anticipated release of the JFK Files will take place tomorrow. So interesting!” But now it turns out he’s only releasing 2,800 of the most pedestrian of JFK documents tonight, which won’t really tell us anything (link). Yesterday it was revealed that Cambridge Analytica, the voter data analysis arm of the Donald Trump campaign, was actively seeking to conspire with criminal Russian puppet Julian Assange to steal Hillary Clinton’s emails during the election. The news spooked Trump so badly that he had his campaign put out a comically dishonest statement claiming that Cambridge Analytica played no real role in the campaign. Today it’s further been revealed that Rebekah Mercer, the billionaire who funded Cambridge Analytica and also largely funded the Trump campaign, knew about the entire thing – meaning that everyone in the campaign had to have known – including Trump.
Details of this story will keep dripping out by the day, and it’ll spell out absolute proof that Donald Trump was conspiring with Russian criminals and hackers to rig the election in his favor. He’s so afraid of what’s about to surface, he’s desperate enough to pull a bizarre bait and switch on the JFK files just to create a brief and minor distraction.
