Donald Trump slept through much of his criminal trial and failed to recognize various people in the courtroom when he was awake. Trump’s rally speeches generally consist of incoherent stories about sharks and batteries. Trump thinks Biden is Obama and thinks Haley is Pelosi. He even thinks his own doctor Ronny Jackson is someone else.

The story has gotten bumped out of the headlines after Biden had a bad debate performance and Trump got shot at, but the biggest storyline in this election continues to be that Trump is displaying symptoms consistent with advanced dementia. Now it’s happening again.

Trump showed up to the Republican National Convention last night with a giant and fake-looking bandage taped to his ear, in an apparent attempt at garnering sympathy. But once Trump sat down to watch the convention proceedings, the TV cameras showed him close his eyes and doze off for a long stretch.

What’s remarkable is that the Republican National Convention is little more than a Trump rally. Every speaker talks about how wonderful Trump is.
