President Biden comes out swinging

Hours after the SCOTUS ruling, and a sizable degree of chaos and uncertainty about what the ruling actually entailed, President Biden addressed the nation about the massive implications of the ruling and what it means for future generations.

He only spoke for a short period of time, but he picked his words carefully – drawing the inevitable parallels between now and the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend, as he spoke of how the absolute immunity for official acts of the presidency could inevitably lead down the path of a ruler that will abuse their power, with a particular emphasis on Donald Trump, who did absolutely nothing during the Thursday debate to dispel the notion that he plans to be a dictator on day one.

Despite its brevity, it was moving stuff – as he mentioned the basis our nation was founded upon – of limited power, not absolute – the antithesis of what the former guy is running on, despite all of his claims of patriotism.

He mentioned how close we were to losing democracy on Jan 6, with calls to assassinate Nancy Pelosi and Mike Pence from the insurrectionists. It’s a reminder that our vote on Nov 5 is the most significant one to date – that we must be the change that we need this election or we’ll merely be on the road to an autocracy of absolute power under Donald Trump. It's been a tough week, a tough month, a tough year. For all of us. But the fight goes on. Because we know how important this is. Because we care. Because we're the ones who fight. It's you and me. It has been for a decade. And I'm never backing down. But Palmer Report does have operating expenses. And in this uncertain time, I truly need your help. For that reason I've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.
