Clarence Thomas is at it again!
I’ve long had an internal argument with myself over who is the worst extreme court Justice, the stinkiest of the stinky, the most evil, insane, and incompetent. Alito usually wins my mind argument. However, maybe not today. Clarence Thomas has done something that the media is not talking about at all.
In a ruling released this week, the court sided with a community that prohibited people experiencing homelessness from sleeping on public land. The decision was not surprising, not with this court, but what ELSE Thomas did was surprising even for him.
Thomas wrote that he’d like to “dispose of” another ruling. The ruling that has raised Thomas’s ire is one from 1962. This ruling struck down a law that had said addiction—(you know, that little thing that millions suffer from)—is criminal.
Think about this for a second. Think about the millions of GOOD people you or I may have and still do know who have, at some point, fallen into the tentacles of addiction. Clarence Thomas would call them all criminals. Yes, I think he wins this week’s award for idiot of the year.
Thomas seems to hold close to his heart a smoldering dislike of ANYONE who he deems unworthy, be they women, LGBTQ people, or addicts. He also has this nasty habit of remarking on old decided cases that he’s eager to dig his hands into.
Addiction in this country as a crime? That would definitely be calamitous. However, I do not think this madman has five votes. Still, this should be talked about. The American people need to know. They need to know who their Judges are—and are not.
People need to know that Clarence Thomas is NOT a Justice; he’ ‘s a puppet — a puppet, controlled by the wealthy puppeteers, eager to engage in the ancient theatre of taking away human rights.
