Samuel Alito’s evil game
Some people are saying the race for the presidency is a battle of good versus evil. While I haven’t thought of it that way, in a sense it’s true. Of course, you must consider the source. When someone like Roger Stone says something to that effect, be wary. According to Rolling Stone, back in March Stone was the keynote speaker at a Catholics Prayer for Trump on March 19 at Mar-a-Lago. Unknown to Stone, two infiltrators-Lauren Windsor and Ally Sammarco-not only attended the event but taped him. Windsor is a liberal journalist, and Sammarco is her colleague. During his speech, Stone said: “Don’t think that this is a fight between Republicans and Democrats, liberals, and conservatives. This is nothing less than an epic struggle between good and evil, a struggle between light and dark, a struggle between the godly and the godless.” Roger Stone considers himself godly. That’s interesting, but what’s interesting is how much he sounds like someone else.
In June, Alito attended the Supreme Court Historical Society annual dinner. Windsor secretly recorded him as well. He was caught on audio discussing “the battle for America,” which Alito said: “can’t be compromised” and his belief that the country needs to return to “a place of godliness.” This man is so misguided. His position as a Supreme Court justice is to decide cases based on the law. Instead, he’s leaning on his idea of what’s best for this country and all its people. Sorry, Sammy, but that’s not how this works. People are free to decide how to live. Alito’s beliefs are his personal beliefs. Other people have different beliefs. There’s nothing “ungodly” about that, and Alito has not been assigned by God to judge the rest of us. In fact, when so-called Christians judge based on pride, comparison, or to belittle others, they are as ungodly as the rest of us. Alito sees our faults but not his own. If that’s not bad enough, Stone’s words are chill inducing.
All while he spouted his “good versus evil” nonsense, Stone shared how they plan to object to the 2024 election before it has even happened. Stone told Windsor directly that they “are prepared with lawyers, judges, and technology” to object to the election. This sounds like they’re not all that confident of winning. Stone, of course, claimed that everything he has suggested is “perfectly legal.” Don’t count on it if he is involved. Besides, as before, these plans are completely unnecessary.
There was no fraud involved in the 2020 election, and there will be none in 2024-unless Republicans engage in it as some of them did in 2020. That claim has been debunked multiple times and has, in fact, been proven wrong. The thing is, even as they claim that God has their back, he has our backs as well. Their plans are evil and nefarious. God doesn’t support those things. If this is truly a fight between good and evil, then Trump won’t triumph because he and his allies are the epitome of evil.
