Personal note from Bill Palmer: Thank you.

Yesterday I shared the story of how a foot injury has left me immobile and mostly unable to leave the house since early in Donald Trump’s criminal trial. I waited until after the verdict to share my story, and I did so reluctantly even then. But after 24 hours of hearing from so many of you in response, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you to all of you who have shared well wishes. And thank you to those of you who have shared your own stories of immobility with me. As I said yesterday, I feel very lucky that this is something I’ll heal from, and that I’m expected to be able to walk just fine again eventually. I know that’s not the case for everyone. I also want to thank those of you who suggested that I get an all-terrain medical scooter for use outside the house, in addition to the lightweight scooter I’m using inside the house. This should allow me to venture out a little more.

In any case, like I said yesterday, we’re all human beings. We’re all living our lives. We all have our stories. This is mine. And I thank you all very much for not just caring enough to read my political analysis, but also for caring about me as a person.

Much thanks,
Bill Palmer
