Donald Trump struggles on way out of courthouse
Now that Donald Trump expects to be convicted tomorrow in his criminal trial, he’s trying to lay the groundwork for why the guilty verdict is supposedly unfair. The trouble for Trump is that he has no argument to make. The bigger trouble is that he can’t even get the words out of his mouth.

In reality Donald Trump declined to take the stand in his own defense, and he declined to call potential defense witnesses like Allen Weisselberg. That’s because none of it would have gone well for him. Trump can whine all he wants (or maybe not, given how difficult it is for him to speak a full sentence these days), but that’s not going to stop the jury from doing what it’s about to do to him.
