It’s not just the dog: the Kristi Noem scandal just got even uglier for her
What could be worse than bragging about shooting a dog for fun, in such a grotesque manner that even right wing gun lovers and hunters take objection with? Not much. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has already sunk herself politically. But now it turns out things are getting even uglier for her.
In the same book in which Noem bragged about shooting a dog because she hated it, she also claimed she met North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. Why brag about such a thing? Probably because Donald Trump also met with Kim and bragged about it. The trouble: Noem didn’t meet with Kim.
Kristi Noem is now being forced to blame her publishers for the false claim, while admitting that Kim Jong Un isn’t the only world leader she’s falsely claimed to have met. Noem’s career trajectory went off a cliff the minute the dog story happened. Now she’s just piling dirt on her own political grave.
