Last week the news broke that former Trump White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows was included among those being criminally indicted in Arizona for having tried to overthrow the 2020 election results.

Now the Meadows indictment has officially become public today, and it turns out he’s facing a whopping nine felony charges. This is a big deal in the sense that it puts Meadows on track to spend much of the rest of his life in an Arizona prison if he’s convicted – perhaps even more prison time than he’s already facing in Fulton County, Georgia.

Mark Meadows has spent a long time trying (and failing) to split the difference between protecting Trump and protecting himself. It’s gotten Meadows in enough trouble already. But at this point, with numerous felony charges against him in multiple states, Meadows is going to have to decide whether to sell Trump out or spend the rest of his own life in prison.
