James Comer takes it on the chin
James Comer needs to take the advice he is being given from all sides: hang it up, dude. He continues his pursuit of President Joe Biden with absolutely no evidence in sight. The way Comer talks about President Biden, you would think he’s a clone of Donald Trump. Comer needs to get one thing straight: President Biden is not and never will be Donald Trump. The reverse is true as well. Donald Trump could never have the caring and compassion that President Biden possesses. The nerve of James Comer accusing President Biden of similar behaviors and “inviting” President Biden to testify. According to the Hill, Comer wrote to President Biden: “I invite you to participate in a public hearing at which you will be afforded the opportunity to explain, under oath, your involvement with your family’s sources of income and the means it has used to generate it.” Yet, they quashed any talk of the $2 billion Jared Kushner received from Saudi Arabia. This entire thing is a joke.
When users on X heard this latest pile of nonsense, they let Comer have it, calling the investigation a “hoax,” and that’s exactly what it is. They have no evidence. White House spokesperson Ian Sams was quoted by the Hill: “Comer knows 20+ witnesses have testified that POTUS did nothing wrong. He knows that hundreds of thousands of pages of records he’s received have refuted his false allegations. This is a sad stunt at the end of a dead impeachment. Call it a day, pal.” Republicans are reaching back to when President Biden was vice president and worked on getting rid of a corrupt prosecutor in Ukraine, Victor Shokin. Comer has tried to turn that investigation into something it was not, claiming that the president wanted to get rid of him because he was investigating Burisma. That allegation is false. Shokin’s deputy advised that the Burisma investigation was long dead before Biden’s investigation. Comer also claims that $24 million came to Biden via foreign sources, which Washington Post unearthed as untrue and showed that $7 million was found that went to Hunter Biden and a few relatives but none to President Biden. Finally, Comer asks about the loans to President Biden’s brother. What about his own loans to his brother? Show me yours, and I’ll show you mine.
These people have nothing better to do than to waste time and taxpayer dollars on a dead-end impeachment. Users on X had a field day with Comer. One user reposted Comer and said: “They are still at it??” Another reposted and said: “Kick rocks @RepJamesComer THE HOAX IS OVER.” If they wanted to find dirt on a president, they should have taken the opportunity to investigate Trump’s family dealings while he was in office. There were likely plenty of offenses there. Republicans will never be able to turn President Biden into Donald Trump. President Biden is ethical. He’s been in service to this country for 50 years and is not some hack trying to save his companies with bilked money by virtue of his position.
