GOP just stepped in it
Here’s a question for you; if you purchased a car and said car turned out to be a lemon, what would you do? Would you 1) Return the car as soon as possible, or 2) cheerfully say who cares and continue to drive a car that doesn’t drive? The choice is obvious. Perhaps not to Republicans.
There are many reasons why we’re in a prime condition to win, this November. One reason that has not been talked about enough is — candidate quality. Ah, candidate quality. That has felled many a Republican election denier in the past. To put it bluntly, the GOP is very talented at picking crazy people to run in swing state elections. They seem to be doing it again.
Washington Post is out with article about how the GOP seem to be screwing up their chances with the Senate by choosing unelectable candidates. I agree. In Ohio for example, the GOP chose as their Senate candidate to run against Sherrod Brown, Bernie Moreno, a trump sycophant who favors a national abortion ban even though the good people of Ohio don;t want one.
Then there’s Kari Lake in Arizona. Lake still insists she won the Arizona Governor’s race. She is delusional.
But it isn’t just Senators. Oh no, not at all.
Take North Carolina gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson.
To put it bluntly, Robinson makes Lake look almost normal.
Robinson has attacked Jewish people, women, Muslims and the LGBTQ community.
He has also expressed a desire for an American where women do not have the right to vote. I mean it. He is also a Holocaust denier.
This is the man who wants to govern North Carolina. If I were a North Carolinian, I’d sign up right this very second to help Democrats.
So yes, candidate quality matters. Just like most people would not drive a car that does not run, so Republicans should know better than to run candidates that repulse the majority of the American people.
It looks like the GOP did not get that message and that is just one more thing that will add to our wins in November.
