Judge Aileen Cannon just shot down Donald Trump big time

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Even though right wing Judge Aileen Cannon has been trying to help Donald Trump in various small ways, the reality is that she doesn’t have a magic wand. For instance after Cannon made an improper ruling that would have made classified intel public, she had to back down and she’s since been mostly falling in line.

Trump asked Cannon to dismiss the entire criminal case, and while Cannon doesn’t come within a million miles of having the muscle to pull that off, for some reason Trump seemed to think it was going to happen. He even attended the hearing today, apparently so he could be there to celebrate the supposed end of his criminal case.

Instead Judge Cannon ruled against Trump’s motion to dismiss today. She didn’t even drag it out, she just immediately ruled that Trump’s motion to dismiss was toast. Why? Because she’s very close to losing this case, and she knows that she now has to fall in line quite a bit.

It’s almost hilarious that Trump or anyone else was expecting Judge Cannon to simply dismiss the case against Trump today. Such a move would have immediately gone to the 11th Circuit, and swiftly been overruled, perhaps with a new judge assigned. For the last time, Aileen Cannon does not have a magic wand. Any political analyst or legal pundit who tells you there are magic wands involved is selling you a line of fiction.
