Confused Donald Trump thinks he “ranned”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

There’s a scene in The Office where two characters, both known for their idiocy, have such trouble coming up with the past tense for the word “heed” that one of them ends up saying “headed.” Of course that’s an example of fictional characters being impossibly dumb, and it can’t happen in real life, right?

In yet another instance of Donald Trump becoming so cognitively challenged that he now sounds like an impossibly dumb TV character, Trump can’t seem to remember what the past tense of “run” is:

.
What’s stunning is that Trump started off by correctly saying “ran” only to then slowly change it into “ranned.” Of course this isn’t a matter of being impossibly dumb. Trump used to know full well that the past tense of “run” is “ran.” But at this point he’s so cognitively confused, he can’t remember basic things like how verbs work. This is just getting sad.
