Turns out today’s verdict against Donald Trump was actually a lot bigger than $364 million

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. When the news first broke of Judge Engoron’s verdict against Donald Trump today, the number that was reported was $364 million. Now it turns out that number is apparently a lot higher than $364 million, thanks to the fine print.

For starters, it turns out the $364 million verdict was the combined total of the penalties against Donald Trump, his two adult sons ($4 million each), and Allen Weisselberg ($1 million). So the verdict against Donald Trump himself was only $355 million. Except it was actually much larger than that.

NBC News says that the $355 million doesn’t include the interest that Judge Engoron has assigned, dating back to when Trump committed the acts of fraud. That interest adds up to about $98 million. So Trump appears to actually owe $453 million to the state of New York.

This is in addition to the $83 million he already owes E. Jean Carroll. That puts the combined number at well over half a billion dollars. Trump’s day just keeps getting worse for him.
