This is just ugly for Alina Habba

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump still employs Alina Habba as his attorney, even after she did a laughably inept job of representing him in the second E. Jean Carroll trial, which helped cost him $83 million. Now that the even more devastating $364 million verdict has come down against Trump in his New York civil fraud trial, Trump is using Habba as his spokesperson – and it’s just plain embarrassing.

Habba is out there today claiming that the verdict was “manifest injustice,” whatever that means. She’s also insisting that there was “no wrongdoing” and “no crime.” Well that’s not going to fly in the court of law.

Of course Habba is really out there today to try to spin this, not win it. But this kind of simplistic spin doesn’t even impact the court of public opinion. If anything Habba is merely out there playing to an audience of one – Donald Trump. And that alone shows how far removed Trump is from being able to win any of his legal battles. He’s paying an attorney simply to make him feel better about how badly he’s losing.
