Donald Trump just tipped off how afraid he is of what he thinks is coming today
On Monday evening I pointed out that Donald Trump had suddenly begun obsessively ranting on social media about his New York civil fraud trial, after his attention had been elsewhere for awhile. It gave away that Trump now thinks the final verdict in that case is coming down at any moment. The only question was whether Trump had specific information about the timing of the verdict, or if he simply figured out that the judge’s “early to mid February” timeframe is now firmly upon us.
Now it turns out Trump isn’t just obsessed with the upcoming verdict, he’s very obsessed with it. Here we are, after midnight on Tuesday morning, and Trump is going so far as sharing his own past rants about his New York civil fraud trial. Trump is going as far as rehashing his infamous meltdown about a trophy that a bank once gave him, which he claims is proof that he can’t possibly be guilty of fraud.
This is just weird. Trump seems absolutely certain that the verdict in this fraud trial is coming imminently. And he seemingly can’t sleep because of it. Have Trump and his legal team been informed by the courts that the verdict is indeed dropping? Stay tuned.
