Mike Johnson’s worst nightmare
The Haunting of Hill House is not just one of the best horror classics in the world. It is ALSO what is going on right now. Right now (actually last night), a haunting came. Screams of anguish could be heard. Whatever could have been going on? The location was Capitol Hill.
The victims of this unfortunate haunting were Senate Republicans. The specter of incompetent house members haunted them. Yes, the insanity of the GOP House caucus has now found its way to the Republican Senate. This is one haunting that is really no surprise at ALL..
According to various reports, some journalists, waiting around on the hill, nearly jumped out of their skin because screaming could be heard. Moans of terror reverberated from behind VERY locked doors. It was coming from inside the Senate.
One reporter described it like this: “Senate Republicans met last night at a closed-door meeting, which got so heated at times that other reporters and I could hear screaming coming from inside the room.”
Oh no! It appears it is now republican senators who are slowly going crazy. Is there ONE sane republican left? The verdict is still out on THAT question. This was, of course, all about the Border Bill, which Republicans once again have managed to screw up.
Serious question here: is there ANYTHING Republicans do right? No, really. I want to know because I SURE can’t think of anything. Anyway, this was one haunting I’m glad I wasn’t in the room for. As to what these lowlife assholes are being haunted by?
The answer is competence, something the GOP lacks, something that took a long walk off a short pier, leaving both House and Senate Republicans stewing in their own incompetent juices. This is one haunting that might go on forever and ever.
