Donald Trump is “like a toddler” in terms of cognitive capacity
“This feels a bit like a toddler showing their parents they can tie their shoes.” Those words come from Campaign strategist Susan Del Percio who wrote a column for MSNBC about Trump’s declining mental health. Del Percio writes that Trump’s “declining mental capacity” is now his biggest vulnerability.
She writes that Trump is very clearly is not the same person he once was and that he now appears “haggard.” She also says Trump protests too much as now he has started boasting about how cognitively aware he is. She also mentioned Trump’s unwillingness to debate, suggesting that his lack of mental agility might just be the reason why.
I think it is. Can one begin to imagine Donald Trump in a debate? These days, he really cannot seem to go one day without making some type of verbal gaffe. I just do not see how he could possibly debate not only President Biden but literally anybody at all.
Del Percio had the following to say as well: “Feeling confident that your candidate has the endurance and mental agility to perform his duties is literally the least we can ask.”
That is also true. Have you noticed how low the bar is for Trump these days? It seems if he goes one day without saying something completely off the wall, everyone around him breathes a sigh of relief. Del Percio also remarks that Trump only has himself to blame for all of this because he has made his mental decline front and center by constantly bragging about how smart he is.
In reality, I suppose Trump would never dare to admit, even to himself, let alone the American people, that his mental health is in decline. He is so utterly vain, so massively narcissistic that he would not allow himself to do that.
However, if he is the nominee, it WILL come out. He will have to give press interviews. He will have to at least pretend to want to debate. He will have to speak at rallies. All of this points to someone who is heading for a really big fall as he shrugs off all the warning signs and persists in moving closer to bringing himself down.
