It’s all on Donald Trump now

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $3760 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer
Palmer Report

Donald John Trump is responsible. He is to blame for what’s happening here. Since Roe fell, I’ve written many articles about it for Palmer Report. I’ve written about anguished women and impervious Republicans. I’ve written about horrible court rulings and foreseen consequences. But never have I written of anything that grossed me out, turned my blood to ice, shamed me that we have such evil than what I’m about to tell you.

It happened on the Wisconsin state assembly floor. The subject, of course, was abortion. The Speaker of the filth I am about to outline for you is a Republican. Of course, he is. Nothing like this could ever fly from democratic mouths.

Wisconsin Republicans really want a 14-week abortion ban, which will not happen because Wisconsin’s governor has already said he’d veto such a plan. That did not stop Rep. Joel Kitchens, though. I’m not sure that anything could have stopped him. When hate’s on a mission, it usually just lumbers forward.

Kitchens (oh the irony of this man’s last name) was arguing for abortion bans. He also claimed that he was the quintessential expert on all things women. Why? Well–read for yourself what he said. Read it for yourselves, and then TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW that THIS is what the GOP thinks of women, starting, of course, with Donald Trump.

Kitchens argued earnestly that he was an expert on women’s bodies because he was a veterinarian:

“I did thousands of ultrasounds on animals” Kitchen said earnestly.

“I think I know mammalian fetal development better than anyone here.”

“In my mind, there’s absolutely no question that that’s a life.”

Just take those words in, my friends. Take those disgusting, putrid, venomous, pathetic words in. Are women dogs? Or gerbils? Or whatever animal this filthy excuse for a person studied? Are we to be locked in cages, by mad scientist Republicans who think women are nothing more than baby vessels? “mammalian fetal carriers?”

I hope, dear readers, these comments sickened you as they did me. And I also hope – I KNOW — that you know who is responsible for the war on women that is happening right now.

It is Donald John Trump. HE STARTED IT ALL. He put those monsters on the court. He bragged – and still brags about it.

The man — Kitchens — (no doubt kitchens is where he thinks women belong) who made these comments is a slimy, mud-packed avalanche of filth, to be sure, but he’d never had the opportunity to make these comments were Roe still in existence.

I blame Donald Trump for starting this. I blame the extreme court for continuing it. And I blame every anti-choice Republican who puts up with this.

But make no mistake: this all started with Trump. And come the election — come the election, my friends, we have GOT to put this Genie back in the bottle. We have to vote out these beastly primates, and we have to do it soon.
