Donald Trump’s Alina Habba COVID scandal just took a whole new bizarre turn

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

On Monday Donald Trump’s attorney Alina Habba stood in a courtroom and told a trial judge that she wasn’t feeling well, and that she’d recently been around her parents, who had since been diagnosed with COVID. Between this and a juror not feeling well, the trial was postponed.

Then on Tuesday evening the media reported that Habba was at Trump’s political event in New Hampshire. This was odd to say the least. How does someone go from being exposed to COVID and feeling ill, to being at a party in another state barely a day later? Now things have taken yet another turn.

Habba’s presence at the Trump party apparently became public knowledge when a Trump staffer took a selfie with Habba and posted it on social media. Now it turns out that staffer was apparently kicked out of the party after posting the selfie with Habba:

.
It’s not yet clear if this is merely yet another Trump scandal, or if this might have actual implications in court. If it turns out Habba was lying to the judge when she claimed she was feeling ill and had been exposed to COVID in order to get the trial delayed, the judge can potentially invoke sanctions against her. The trial was going to be delayed anyway because a juror was also sick, but that’s irrelevant. Lying to a judge is an easy way to get yourself into hot water. We’ll see what happens when the trial soon resumes.
