Joe Biden just won the 2024 New Hampshire primary – despite not being on the ballot

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When the Democratic Party decided that South Carolina would be the first Democratic primary state to vote in 2024, it set up an odd scenario where New Hampshire would still take place first, but the results on the Democratic side wouldn’t count. To that end, President Joe Biden wasn’t even on the ballot in the New Hampshire Democratic primary. Yet he ended up winning anyway.

Biden ended up winning the New Hampshire Democratic primary as a write-in candidate, getting more votes than also-rans like Dean Phillips and Marianne Williamson, even though they were on the ballot. This is according to Dave Wasserman of Cook Political Report.

Again, the New Hampshire Democratic primary doesn’t officially count for anything. There are no delegates involved. The 2024 Democratic primary officially begins with South Carolina, where Biden will be on the ballot, and he’ll win in a massive blowout.

Meanwhile, even though Donald Trump has been declared the winner of the New Hampshire Republican primary, it looks like he may end up winning by a fairly small margin over Nikki Haley. If Trump indeed comes out of New Hampshire with only a narrow win, it’ll add fuel to the notion that even if he wins the nomination, the Republican Party could conceivably take the nomination away from a senile convicted Trump at the convention this summer.
