Did Ron DeSantis just pull the plug?

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Realistically speaking, Ron DeSantis’ 2024 presidential campaign ended back in early to mid 2023. After significant media buildup, DeSantis stepped out onto the national stage and immediately flopped. His campaign has been crumbling ever since, and his poor showing in Iowa seemingly meant the end was near. But now it may have indeed arrived today.

Ron DeSantis has canceled all of his scheduled Sunday talk show appearances, and his website no longer lists any public appearances. For a presidential candidate to cancel all of his appearances, just a few days before the New Hampshire primary, means that something is very wrong.

The most likely explanation is that DeSantis’ own internal polls say he’s about to get creamed in New Hampshire, and he knows his campaign is over, and he’s trying to disappear before the hammer drops. At this point the only question may be when he officially suspends his campaign. Will he wait until after New Hampshire votes, or did he just preemptively pull the plug tonight?
