Steve Bannon goes off the deep end

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Steve Bannon hasn’t had a win in… well, forever. He lost his White House job, lost his website, lost his financial backers, and is now awaiting a criminal trial in New York that’ll send him to prison for several years. Now Bannon is basically a podcaster who makes grandiose threats that he can’t follow through on.

Remember when Bannon claimed he was raising an army against the United States? Whatever happened to that? The guy is all hot air. Yet for some reason some people (on both sides) still think that his big threats mean something.

Now that “Speaker” Mike Johnson has predictably caved on the budget, Steve Bannon is vowing to unseat him. Well okay then. There are a lot of reasons to think that Johnson might lose his Speaker position. But if it does happen, Steve Bannon of all people won’t have anything to do with it.

Bannon is simply vowing to get rid of Mike Johnson so that if it does happen, he can take credit for it. And there are still people out there who believe that Bannon has that kind of magic wand up his sleeve. But back in the real world, Bannon can’t even keep himself from going on trial.
