If this gets any stupider…
Thoughts are like fireflies; when they are at their loudest, one can hear the clicking. My thoughts are pretty loud right now. I am thinking of when we will take back the House. The year 2023 will always be remembered for the band of incompetent morons that are the Republican House caucus.
I cannot think, friends and readers, of ONE meaningful thing ANY of them have done the whole year, and THAT is just sad Let’s take a look back at some of the more stupid things that the GOP House Caucuses did.
It took an eternity for them to get rid of George Santos, who is happily gone with the wind now, and the good news is we’ll never have to worry about a Congressman Santos again. Who on earth could forget the incredible shrinking Kevin McCarthy? By “shrinking”, I refer to his soul, which shrunk a little more with every Speaker vote.
We were all treated to fifteen rounds of voting where Kevin was rejected and rejected and rejected again. It was definitely something to see.
James Comer and Hunter Biden. It has been a pleasure watching the President’s son make a fool out of Comer with almost frightening regularity. Is there a bigger idiot than Comer? I am not so sure that there is.
Gym! The Ohio screamer turned into quite the a stalker in 2023 as he regularly hounded anyone who dared bring charges against Donald Trump. The gym has also persisted in wearing that horrible baby blue shirt, which should be a crime in and of itself.
Nancy Mace appeared to brand herself the new Hester Prynne with that absurd T-shirt.
GOP House members have been quitting or saying they will not run for office again.
Near fistfights have abounded. 2023 was the year the House caucus on the GOP side turned into The Fight Club. They did that with way more frequency than passing any meaningful legislation.
So, as we start 2024, let us thank our lucky stars that we are here to take back the House. And we will do that. We must do that. We need to do that because what we DO NOT ever want to see again is this perfectly incompetent failure of a GOP House caucus, the worst in history.
