Donald Trump has incoherently bizarre Truth Social meltdown after Jack Smith gets the best of him
By all accounts Jack Smith has won the day by asking the Supreme Court to swiftly strike down Donald Trump’s claim of “presidential immunity,” thus ensuring that Trump can’t drag out his appeals endlessly. Trump doesn’t seem to be taking the news well, as he was barely able to speak during a public appearance today. He’s doing even worse online.
Trump posted a meltdown on Truth Social that’s so incoherently bizarre, we’re not sure where to start. At one point he claims Jack Smith has a “big record of loses” – loses, not losses. At another point Trump claims Jack Smith “want to CHEAT” – want, not wants. Then Trump refers to the whole thing as a “ridiculous lawsuit,” seemingly not understanding that this is a criminal case.
Donald Trump is falling apart in real time. This is a guy whose civil fraud trial is going so badly for him, he’s resorting to selling off his own clothes. And now he’s being marched to trial on criminal charges that’ll put him in prison. No wonder he can’t keep any of it straight.
