The first day of Rudy Giuliani’s civil trial against Georgia election workers saw Giuliani show up late and then make the same false claims to reporters that landed him on trial to begin with. Could day two go even worse for Giuliani? As it turns out, the answer is yes.

Giuliani has apparently spent the day objecting to the plaintiff’s presentation, making objections in what one reporter called “indecipherable” fashion. This prompted the judge to warn Giuliani that his objections had to be “intelligible.”

The judge also informed Giuliani today that his remarks to reporters yesterday are grounds for additional civil action against him. Giuliani’s attorney reportedly tried to blame Giuliani’s age for his unhinged behavior, suggesting that Giuliani’s cognitive abilities are going. This prompted the judge to point out that Giuliani seemed to be following the trial just fine.

So here we are, with Rudy Giuliani behaving in self destructively senile fashion, making incoherently senile objections, his own attorney arguing that he’s too senile to be held accountable for his actions, and the judge pointing out that Rudy isn’t that senile. And it’s only day two.
