Donald Trump’s cognitive decline finally comes front and center with the media
It is a rather strange fact that once the cat is let out of the bag, it IS rather impossible to put it back in. And this weekend, in the state of Iowa, the cat tumbled from the bag in rather extraordinary fashion.
Donald Trump had decided to do a rally there. Actually, he did two. These rallies did not go well for Trump, however what they DID do was let the cat out of the bag. “He is slowing down.” These words come from Alyssa Farah Griffin, who, as you know, knows the madman pretty darn well. She and others at CNN were “stunned” by Trump’s — ahem — slowness:
“Lacked sharpness.”
“There’s a lack of sharpness in what he’s saying!”
“Complete inconsistencies.”
Now — as you know — a secret is a secret is a secret — until it’s not anymore. And right now, Trump’s mental sharpness — or lack thereof — is most definitely NOT a secret.
“Dimwitted dullard.” This was a comment on social media. There were many comments. People observed Trump’s rallies with disbelief But the best was yet to come. Because one thing I’m pretty sure few expected was for Trump to — gulp — TELL THE TRUTH!
No matter what is going on with Trump’s mental acuity, most can agree that Trump and Truth have never met each other. Until now. As Trump stood there, framed in Iowa shadows, he proceeded to bellow out: “We’ve been waging an all-out war on American democracy!!”
Pause. WHAT?? Yes, he said it. For once, for perhaps the ONLY time in his miserable life, Trump told the truth. He quickly moved to correct himself by saying it was his OPPONENTS who were doing that. But alas! The damage had been done! Many were chattering about this and what it means for Donald Trump.
Perhaps he should have more rallies. Perhaps if he did, he just might confess to starting an insurrection, stealing classified documents, and who knows. Perhaps he will EVEN admit his “perfect phone call” wasn’t so perfect. It seems whatever is going on with Trump is also functioning as a sort of truth serum. Who knows what he’ll wind up confessing to next?
