George Santos was expelled on Friday with the help of a number of House Republicans. That’s the least of his problems, given that he’s going to prison for several years if he’s convicted at his upcoming trial. But for now Santos seems focused on getting revenge against his fellow Republicans.

Santos is now tweeting that he’s filing ethics complaints against multiple House Republicans: Nicole Malliotakis for alleged insider trading, Mike Lawler for alleged campaign finance violations, Nick Lalota for an alleged no-show job. He also says he’s filing an ethics complaint against House Democrat Rob Menendez for good measure.

This all comes with the huge caveat that George Santos is a known liar, and that (at least in his tweets) he hasn’t provided any serious evidence to support these allegations. No one should take his allegations against anyone seriously unless he provides real evidence in support. But it is nonetheless notable that Santos is now accusing so many of his colleagues of corruption scandals on his way out the door. Santos appears to be at least trying to go scorched earth. Of course he could be firing mere blanks.
