Dear Palmer Report readers,
We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.
In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

Donald Trump’s bail hasn’t been revoked even though he’s misbehaved ahead of his Fulton County criminal trial. He’s not getting special treatment, he just hasn’t (yet) reached the threshold for bail revocation. How do we know this? Trump’s co-defendant Harrison Floyd has been misbehaving more aggressively, going so far as to tag witnesses on social media in order to incite harassment – and last week DA Fani Willis filed to have Floyd’s bail revoked.
Today Willis is taking that fight directly to Floyd. She’s questioning him herself during his bail hearing, instead of letting her deputies handle it. It’s clear that Willis wants to not only get Floyd’s bail revoked, but also send a message about the consequences of violating your bail conditions.
It’s not yet clear if Floyd’s bail will be revoked at this time or if the courts will give him one more chance to get his act together. But one could argue that Fani Willis is looking to send that message directly to Donald Trump. One has to imagine that as Trump continues to compulsively (and stupidly) inch closer to violating the conditions of his bail, it’ll be just a matter of time before Trump ends up facing the kind of bail revocation hearing that Floyd is facing today. Tick tock.
